  • We learned the sight words him, was, and seven.
  • We read a story called Harry at the Sea and talked about making predictions.
  • We continued our social studies unit on symbols of the United States.

Next Week:
  • We will focus on the letter Ee.
  • We will learn the words with, my, and eight.
  • We will learn words in the -et word family.
  • We will read a story called My Lucky Day! and work on making inferences.
  • We will learn about ordering numbers from smallest to largest.
  • We will finish our social studies unit on symbols of the United States.

What to Ask Your Kindergartener:
  • To name the coins we learned about.
  • To sort some coins at home.
  • To practice reading the sight words.

Reminders and Other News:
  • Spring is on the way!  Even though it has been warmer and the snow is melting, students still need to have snow pants, boots, coats, hats, and mittens each day until the playground dries up.
  • A game mat came home in your child's folder cheetah binder today.  Feel free to fill in the shamrocks with numbers, sight words, or letters to practice skills at home.
